As an experienced battery maintenance company, Advanced Battery Care Ltd understands the problem that many FM managers have in controlling the battery maintenance process. The usual maintenance done by the battery engineer, gives a snapshot of the overall state of the battery system. However, the problem lies with the fact that this service only takes place once every 6 or 12 months. During the period between these visits, batteries can indeed start to fail and it is only once the engineer has picked this up in the next visit that something can be done about it.

The implementation of battery monitoring on the UPS system gives a whole range of data, previously been provided on limited occasions, which allow trends to be visible. The batteries will also come with a warranty from the manufacturer. Should some batteries fail within this warranty period, the data from the battery monitoring system will clearly indicate the failing cells. The routine Engineer’s visit may unfortunately report these cells after the warranty period has expired, costing further money to replace them.
