Interserve, the international support services and construction group, is hosting a facilities management forum at Somerset House, London on 9th October 2012, offering industry professionals the chance to discuss the leading industry issues, the changing shape and future of facilities management, and how to marry constraints with higher service levels.

The forum will include expert opinion from Joe Potter from IBM’s Global Business Services’ Asset Management Group discussing the key shifts in the future of facilities management, alongside Bob Parkin from EC Harris on how to design and deliver integrated property and FM models. This forum will also include Colin Hamilton, director at Interserve focusing on sustainability, and how companies can save energy and costs effectively.

There will also be the opportunity to network with key facilities management decision makers and to obtain ideas for future innovation.

The speakers

Joe Potter is an Associate Partner in IBM’s Global Business Services’ Asset Management Group. He has asset management systems strategy and implementation consultancy experience with multi-national “blue chip” and public sector clients within the UK, EMEA and globally, having worked in the management of complex assets for over 35 years. He directs AM systems strategy and implementation projects with complex global clients. He now concentrates on property systems and has contributed widely to IBM’s ‘Smarter Buildings’ solutions. He is the TRIRIGA Services lead for the UK.

Bob Parkin has over 20 years’ experience in his field, and is an asset and facilities management provider at EC Harris. Within his role he is responsible for advising clients at strategic level. His focus is on asset and facilities management, procurement and outsourcing management. This includes providing thought leadership, technical expertise and subject matter advice.

Colin Hamilton has vast experience in sustainability schemes via his role as divisional director, strategic partnerships at Interserve. His main responsibility lies around developing carbon and energy reduction solutions. He is focused on sustainable solutions in the energy sector, and how Interserve is utilising investment opportunities for the benefit of existing and new clients.
