RoSPA launches health and safety diploma courses in Scotland

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is to carry out training courses for the NEBOSH Diploma in Scotland for the first time.

Candidates aiming to further their career in health and safety will take part in courses in Glasgow, from September, or Edinburgh, from January 2014.

RoSPA, the UK’s leading health and safety charity with nearly 100 years’ experience in the field, prides itself on achieving exceptional pass rates throughout its portfolio of courses, including the sought-after NEBOSH Diploma.

The NEBOSH Diploma course for Unit A starts in Glasgow in September, with Unit B covered in October and Unit C in November.

In Edinburgh, Unit A of the Diploma course gets under way in January 2014, with Unit B in February and Unit C in March.

RoSPA’s exclusive Diploma mentoring package uses expert tutors, many of whom were once NEBOSH examiners, who provide one-to-one support, mock exams and extensive feedback.

Course participants gain full access to RoSPA’s Infocentre, where professionals offer an in-depth enquiry service for all aspects of safety and health, along with RoSPA’s Diploma Delegate Forum, which is a learning aid where they can swap ideas with course colleagues, get extra support and discuss topics with tutors online.

A NEBOSH Diploma is the first step to becoming a chartered safety and health practitioner and includes four key areas of study: managing health and safety; hazardous agents in the workplace; workplace and work equipment; and application of health and safety theory and practice.
