In light of recent and impending changes to health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements, the British Safety Council is organising a half day workshop in Cardiff on Thursday, 16 June 2016.

The morning briefing will examine key developments in the auditing of health, safety and environmental management systems. It will also address the latest legislative changes, including recently revised sentencing guidelines, which will have a significant impact on the way that health and safety offences are dealt with in court.

It is imperative that companies can now demonstrate that they have the processes in place to self-regulate their operations in order to comply with the law. Addressing this issue, the briefing will explore the impact of the FFI (Fee for Intervention) scheme and the reduction of funding for the HSE.

Chris Green (lawyer and Partner at Weightmans LLP Regulatory Services, Midlands) will address sentencing guidelines and recent cases.
