A team of experts from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be on hand to pass on useful information and advice at Europe’s leading exhibition.
The safety charity will be hosting stand M2300 at next week’s Safety and Health Expo, being held at London’s ExCeL Exhibition Centre from Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 18.
Meanwhile, RoSPA’s highly-celebrated Occupational Health and Safety Awards ceremony will take place alongside the Expo, in the ExCeL’s Platinum Suite on Tuesday.
Each day of the Expo, RoSPA staff will be hosting on-stand “Stop ‘n’ Learn” sessions which will be running every hour between 11am-3pm, with useful advice and information on:
11am: Your route to CMIOSH: NEBOSH vs. NVQ
Noon: CDM regulations: The legal lowdown
1pm: Safety training: Get the boss to buy-in
2pm: NEBOSH practical: Maximum marks, minimum stress
3pm: RoSPA awards: Reach new heights.
Meanwhile, those heading to RoSPA’s stand will be given a sneak peek of new book Safety First: Vintage Posters from RoSPA’s Archives. Being published on June 18, Safety First is part of a programme of activities to mark RoSPA’s centenary, which will run from 2016 to 2017.
The charity will also be offering free one-to-one “Ask the Expert” sessions, giving visitors the opportunity to talk through any issues they are facing with an experienced Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) professional.
What’s more, Fleet Safety seminars will be run at the Business Driver Safety Zone on stand P1825, while there will also be top prizes including a classroom-based NEBOSH Diploma course and an Apple Watch up for grabs. Visitors can also take advantage of up to 25 per cent off training courses booked on-stand, and new members can get three months for free.
Tom Mullarkey, RoSPA’s chief executive, said: “There is so much happening at RoSPA’s stand next week that a visit will be a must for any health and safety professional at the Expo.
“Our experts will be on hand to provide the knowhow and tools you need to ensure the highest standards of health and safety practice in the workplace. We are also very excited for the beginning of our annual awards season, and the launch of Safety First.”
