 Crane Merchandising Systems is the new company delivering both National Vendors and Stentorfield branded merchandising equipment.
The new name has come with the formation of a new operating group by US parent Crane Co. Crane Merchandising Systems will specialise in offering complete turnkey vending solutions; from expertise in the manufacturing of automatic merchandisers to the provision of information and new technologies to meet customers' needs.
In Europe, the names of National Vendors and Stentorfield continue to be used to describe their respective product ranges, and are promoted as brands under the company name of Crane Merchandising Systems from its headquarters in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The global operations of Crane Merchandising Systems are directed from headquarters in St Louis, Missouri, USA.

US parent Crane Co. is no stranger to the vending industry. Since 1985, the company has owned National Vendors, a 75 year old market leader in North America for electronic merchandising equipment, refrigerated and frozen foods, hot and cold beverages and snack foods.
In 1998, Crane Co. acquired the UK based hot and cold drinks equipment manufacturer Stentorfield Ltd., and it has recently acquired US software company Streamware, which specialises in the development of route operating management systems.
 Crane Co. businesses also manufacture and sell a diverse range of products in the fields of aerospace, engineered materials, fluid handling and controls. Founded in 1885 by Richard Teller Crane, the company employs over 9,000 people around the globe and generates an annual turnover of US$1.5 billion, nearly 15% of which is attributed to owned and operated businesses based in Europe.
The creation of Crane Merchandising Systems effectively defines the company's portfolio of businesses that specialise in manufacturing highly engineered, high value-added products with large market share in niche sectors.
